Job description

This is a remote opportunity with occasional travel, estimated at less than 10%.

At Kaléo, our way is not to seek to be like others, but rather to passionately pursue meaningful and innovative solutions for patients. We believe all people should have access to the innovative healthcare products and solutions that empower each of them to live fuller, bolder lives.

We are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Analyst to work with the Corporate Team to facilitate internal client groups sourcing and purchasing needs, work with departmental stakeholders, and execute indirect and direct sourcing activities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background with true sourcing and contract negotiations to make a direct, tangible impact on the success of the company. This role will work with assigned departments to move the organization from a tactical purchasing process into a strategic sourcing program that can drive value and cost savings for their internal client groups as they continue to grow.

As Strategic Sourcing Analyst, you will:

  • Lead the sourcing process for the assigned internal client groups (a client group example would be the Operations Organization comprised of direct materials, contract manufacturing, and engineering)
  • Deploy sourcing tools including supplier search, analysis, supplier management, contract management, RFX development, and execution utilizing the Scanmarket software
  • Partner and develop relationships with internal clients to define and prioritize business requirements
  • Research industries and suppliers to ensure the most viable suppliers are identified and considered
  • Manage the RFX process by composing RFX documents in Scanmarket, reviewing documents with stakeholders, and submitting documents to suppliers
  • Negotiate supplier contracts for optimal pricing, services, quality and value
  • Demonstrate value of the Sourcing Department to the organization by defining, measuring and reporting relevant metrics
  • Manage multiple projects at once, delivering on anticipated timelines and cost-savings
  • Perform advanced supplier searches utilizing AI

A successful Strategic Sourcing Analyst will demonstrate:

  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Prior experience serving in a Project Management capacity
  • Ability to summarize supplier quotes into concise SOW’s
  • Experience managing through influence
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment

To be considered for the position, you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • 7+ years of corporate purchasing experience with increasing levels of responsibility
  • CPM, CPSM or similar professional certification desired
  • Pharmaceutical experience is preferred, but not required
