The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for all sales activities within the assigned territory, leveraging their knowledge and experience in valve automation sales and maintaining a strong commitment to high‑quality customer service.

Reporting to the Sector Manager & Country Leader, this role focuses on delivering value, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue and profitability.

This position also provides the opportunity to collaborate with our global Water & Power teams and work closely with the project sales organization to ensure a coordinated approach, high customer satisfaction, and successful execution of sales projects. The Area Sales Manager will develop and maintain relationships with End Users, Engineering Consultants, Contractors, and Channel Partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all sales activities related to Water & Power opportunities in the assigned territory.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with End Users, Engineering Consultants, Contractors, and Channel Partners.
  • Effectively oversee local channel partners (Manufacturer’s Representatives and Distributors) to maximize performance.
  • Monitor and pursue project sales, service opportunities, and aftermarket sales with existing customers.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for customer needs while coordinating with the Factory Service Group when required.
  • Maintain accurate reporting and CRM updates to ensure visibility into sales activities across the organization.
  • Stay informed about competitive positioning and market developments.
  • Collaborate with the Country Manager and other Area Sales Managers to develop sales strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Provide regular business forecasts for all products and services.
  • Prepare monthly sales reports with the Regional Sales Manager to support accurate forecasting.

Requisitos

Experience Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing sales of products and services for capital projects, resellers, and end users.
  • Experience managing a channel partner network.
  • Engineering degree or similar technical qualification.
  • Strong commitment to delivering high‑quality service to internal and external customers.
  • Excellent interpersonal, tact, and diplomatic skills when dealing with staff, customers, and suppliers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

A Successful Candidate:

  • Experience selling engineered industrial automation products or process equipment.
  • Strong time‑management and planning skills.
  • High level of self‑motivation, independence, and accountability.
  • Knowledge of the water and wastewater market.
