PRIMARY PURPOSE
The Gift Planning Officer for the Western United States shall serve The Navigators and fulfill the responsibilities listed below in the spirit of The Navigators calling, values and purpose: To advance the Gospel of Jesus and His kingdom into the nations through spiritual generations of laborers living and discipling among the lost.
This position will work in partnership with the Senior Director of Gift Planning, Foundations, & Content Creation, other Gift Planning Officers, the Gift Planning, Foundations, & Content Creation team, and the wider Advancement team to effectively implement successful legacy strategies that serve Navigator ministry partners by securing deferred, and current funding for The Navigators priorities.

MINIMUM AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Spiritual: Belief in and adherence to the Statement of Faith and Mission of The Navigators. Knowledge of Navigator Missions and ministries preferred. Lives out a deep, personal, and daily relationship with Jesus Christ which reflects and represents The Navigators’ ministry and values. Embraces Advancement as a ministry to ministry partners with purposeful intent to be
deeply involved in ministry partners' lives and to discover and cultivate ministry partners’
philanthropic interests.
Experience: At least one year of experience in Gift Planning preferred, including knowledge of gifting options, cultivation, stewardship, and closing skills. Experience in non-profit or financial industry work and knowledge preferred regarding Gift Planning options e.g., Wills, Living Trusts, QCDs from IRAs, Life Insurance, Charitable Remainder Trusts, Charitable Gift
Annuities, Donor Advised Funds, and Charitable Endowments.
Technical Knowledge & Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other database and web-based fundraising tools.
Communication & Leadership: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including verbal & written, to create understanding and build strong working relationships required.
Education: Minimum four-year degree. Fundraising (CFRE) or (CAP) credentials preferred but not required.
Location: Remote, Hybrid, In-Person. Must live West of the Mississippi River in the United States.
Compensation Range: $70,601.51 - $111,333.20 annual
