Responsibilities:
Advise on the setup, configuration, and deployment of FHIR servers (e.g., HAPI FHIR, Microsoft FHIR Server, or Smile CDR) under the direction of senior team members.
Implement FHIR resources and profiles aligned to HL7 FHIR R4, SMART on FHIR, and US Core specifications.
Contribute to data mapping and transformation tasks for clinical interoperability use cases.
Support integration work with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech, Athena) to enable FHIR-based data exchange.
Help build and test workflows for patient access, provider data entry, and backend data synchronization.
Troubleshoot integration issues and document configurations for handoff.
Work closely with internal engineers, product managers, and architects to deliver assigned FHIR-related tasks.
Produce clear technical documentation for implementations, test cases, and integration patterns.
Participate in code reviews, stand-ups, and sprint planning.
Follow established practices for HIPAA, Wolters Kluwer security standards, and applicable data privacy regulations.
Assist with OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect configuration for secure FHIR endpoint access (senior guidance available).
Support the conversion of NHSN(CMS) required compliance FHIR endpoints.
Requirements:
