We’re looking for an experienced Product Designer to join the CenterEdge Software team. The Product Designer will be responsible for building our design system, modernizing the look and feel of our existing software, and partnering with product and engineering to bring two decades of functional depth into a modern, intuitive user experience.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Build and own the CenterEdge design system
  • Work alongside Product Managers to conduct  UI/UX research and design on new and existing modules
  • Modernize the look and feel of existing desktop POS and back-office tools, prioritized against business impact
  • Collaborate with Developer Team Leads to communicate the “why” behind design decisions, ensuring they are technically grounded
  • Collaborate with product managers across four product teams on day-to-day project work
  • Establish UI/UX standards and review processes that scale across the product organization


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years designing software that real users use to do real work (SaaS, POS, operational tools, or vertical software)
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design and the reasoning behind decisions, not just hero shots
  • Familiarity with modern collaborative design tools including Figma
  • Experience designing within technical constraints and shipping production software with engineering teams
  • Ability to conduct research: interviews, on-site observation, lightweight usability testing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Collaborative temperament: strong opinions about craft, curious about business and technical context
  • Experience designing for operational environments where speed, accuracy, and reliability matter (POS, ticketing, hospitality) preferred
  • Familiarity with Blazor, Telerik Kendo, and Winforms UI a plus
