Job Summary
A detail-oriented Payroll Specialist responsible for processing payroll accurately and ensuring compliance with prevailing wage regulations. Experienced in managing certified payroll reporting, maintaining employee records, and utilizing LCPtracker to submit certified payroll reports for public works and government-funded projects.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and submit certified payroll reports through LCPtracker.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local prevailing wage laws, including Davis-Bacon and related labor regulations.
Review employee timecards, wage rates, deductions, and job classifications for accuracy.
Reconcile payroll discrepancies with clients and resolve employee payroll inquiries.
Monitor fringe benefits, overtime, and prevailing wage requirements.
Prepare payroll reports for audits and government agencies.
Stay current with payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
2+ years of payroll processing experience.
Hands-on experience with LCPtracker and certified payroll reporting.
Knowledge of prevailing wage laws, Davis-Bacon Act, and public works compliance.
Strong understanding of payroll taxes, deductions, and wage calculations.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Skills
Experience working in the construction industry.
Familiarity with union payroll and fringe benefit reporting.
Knowledge of certified payroll audits and labor compliance.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict reporting deadlines.
