ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to join a globally distributed technology consultancy that delivers high-performance digital products for international clients across multiple industries. This is an opportunity to work within a collaborative, engineering-driven environment where technical excellence, automation, and continuous improvement are at the center of every project.

As a senior member of the team, you will take ownership of cloud infrastructure, contribute to architectural decisions, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design secure, scalable, and resilient cloud platforms. You will also play an active role in mentoring engineers, improving operational excellence, and driving DevOps best practices throughout the software delivery lifecycle.

PROJECT & CONTEXT

You will be working on modern cloud-native platforms hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS), supporting the full infrastructure lifecycle through Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD automation. The environment emphasizes reliability, observability, security, and scalability, enabling development teams to deliver software efficiently and safely.

The role involves close collaboration with engineering teams, technical leadership, and business stakeholders in an international environment. Occasional national and international travel may be required depending on project needs (estimated up to 15%).

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR (Required)

• Proven experience as a Senior Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including networking, account management, and infrastructure services.
• Professional experience with Terraform, Terragrunt, and Ansible for Infrastructure as Code and configuration management.
• Solid experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Jenkins.
• Knowledge of observability and monitoring solutions such as Grafana, Kibana, Datadog, or AWS CloudWatch.
• Scripting skills using Bash, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience implementing infrastructure automation, security, scalability, and cost optimization best practices.
• Strong troubleshooting skills, including root cause analysis and production incident resolution.
• Experience working within Agile development environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Language requirements: Fluent English (mandatory) for daily collaboration with international teams.

NICE TO HAVE (Preferred)

• Experience working in consulting or client-facing environments.
• Knowledge of cloud security, governance, and compliance best practices.
• Experience supporting multi-account AWS environments.
• Familiarity with platform engineering and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.
• Experience optimizing cloud infrastructure costs and performance.
• Previous experience mentoring engineers and promoting DevOps culture across development teams.
• Experience working with globally distributed teams.
• Portuguese language skills are considered a plus.

Compensation: R$ 12,500 – R$ 20,000/month, depending on experience and seniority level.
