Job description

Gator Bio, the leading developer and manufacturer of Bio-Layer Interferometry (BLI) instrumentation and consumable products utilized by life science researchers within the biopharma, drug discovery, pharmaceuticals, biotech and academia markets. Headquartered in Palo Alto, CA, we provide BLI label-free solutions involving instrumentation, software, and consumables utilized for measuring real-time label-free biomolecular interaction. General applications include quantitation, kinetic analysis, and epitope binning.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Achieving and exceeding monthly and yearly sales goals within the assigned territory.
  • Identifying, developing, and closing key opportunities within the Pharmaceutical, Biopharma, CRO’s, Environmental Science and Academic life science research areas.
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining account strategies/proposals to drive incremental growth.
  • Networking with key decision makers to strengthen relationships and uncover new opportunities.
  • Submitting accurate sales forecasts, weekly reports, and maintaining up-to-date detailed account information including product, market, application, and sales cycle through CRM system.
  • Monitoring competitive activity, industry trends, creating competitive solutions.
  • Ability to present and discuss technology, applications, benefits, and value proposition statements.
  • Identifying & implementing strategies to strengthen customer relationships utilizing internal resources.
  • Coordinating sales efforts with Field Application Scientist (FAS) and Service team for product demonstrations, sample workup and post-sales support.
  • Ensuring success for all customer accounts.
  • Attending trade shows, lunch & learns, user group meetings, and virtual events.

  • QUALIFICATIONS
  • B.S., M.S., or PhD degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum of 5+ years successful capital equipment scientific sales experience.
  • Expertise in Bio-Layer Interferometry or Surface Plasmon Resonance products preferred.
  • Sales-driven individual.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, well-organized, ability to develop contacts and build rapport at all levels.
  • Experience successfully meeting/exceeding sales goals.
  • Experience creating and executing sales territory plan with focus on long-term relationships.
  • Must reside within the territory and be able to travel 40%, including overnight travel.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, SFDC or other related CRM sales funnel tools.
