Job description

Overview:

At WD-40 Company, quality is a strategic enabler that protects our brand, drives growth, and builds trust with consumers and partners. As Quality Manager, Americas, you will shape how we design, assess, and continuously improve quality across our supplier and filler network — translating global principles into practical execution across diverse and evolving markets, with a strong focus on Latin America.

This role goes beyond program execution. You will bring a risk-based, data-driven mindset to ensure products, processes, and external partners consistently meet company, regulatory, and consumer expectations. As a people leader, you will coach and influence across both mature and developing markets, scaling quality impact through others.

This is a remote role offering the flexibility to work from home, with 20-40% domestic and international travel to Latin America. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. and should not require sponsorship now or in the future to legally work in the U.S.

Responsibilities:

Lead Supplier and Filler Quality Engineering
Oversee qualification, performance monitoring, and ongoing oversight of fillers and suppliers to ensure consistent adherence to quality standards. Drive capability development across supplier networks to deliver a compliant, reliable product at scale.

Enable Quality Readiness for Growth
Lead quality readiness and supplier capability development to support expansion across LATAM markets. Anticipate risks early and embed quality considerations into new market entry and product lifecycle activities.

Apply Risk-Based Quality Decision Making
Drive risk-based evaluation and management of changes across product, process, supplier, and equipment using quality engineering tools and methodologies.

Own Issue Preparedness and Response
Ensure readiness for quality issues through established processes and clear escalation pathways. Lead investigations, root cause analysis, containment, and corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Translate Regulatory Requirements into Practice
Interpret and apply regulatory requirements across the Americas to maintain compliant quality systems and practices.

Serve as a Cross-Functional Quality Partner
Act as a trusted quality advisor to Operations, Supply Chain, R&D, and Commercial teams. Embed quality principles and risk considerations into regional business decisions.

Coach and Develop the Quality Engineering Team
Lead, coach, and develop a Quality Engineering team, fostering professional growth and sustained engagement.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Physical Sciences, or related technical discipline required.
  • Master’s degree in a technical or business field preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in quality engineering, manufacturing, or regulated CPG environments.
  • Professional fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese required, with the ability to communicate technical quality concepts effectively.
  • Experience leading and developing technical Quality teams, with a focus on coaching and capability building. Understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) frameworks and principles.
  • Experience managing supplier and filler quality, regulatory considerations, and complex regional supply chains.
  • Experience supporting or leading quality issue response events and recalls preferred.
