Overview:

HarperCollins Christian Publishing is seeking a highly analytical, results-oriented Amazon Key Account Manager to join our Online Retail Sales team. In this influential role, you'll help drive the success of our Bible, Academic, and Reference publishing programs through one of the world's most dynamic retail channels.

This full-time position is remote, offering flexibility while providing opportunities to collaborate with talented teams across the business with travel required on an as needed basis.


As Amazon Key Account Manager, you'll play a critical role in growing revenue, expanding market reach, and influencing strategic decisions across key publishing categories.

 

Responsibilities:

• Own revenue and profitability goals for your assigned Amazon business.
• Develop and execute creative promotional strategies that drive sales growth and customer engagement.
• Manage sales plans, forecasts, and budgets for assigned publishing imprints.
• Analyze sales performance, market trends, and consumer behavior to identify growth opportunities and inform business decisions.
• Provide strategic sales projections and insights into new book proposals.
• Deliver timely, actionable feedback to publishers and internal stakeholders.
• Identify and capitalize on promotional opportunities that maximize account performance.
• Present data-driven recommendations and sales analyses to leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key Amazon stakeholders.
• Conduct ongoing market and competitive analysis, sharing insights that help shape sales and marketing strategies.
• Partner closely with publishing, marketing, and leadership teams to achieve company objectives.
• Stay ahead of evolving e-commerce and online retail trends, adapting strategies to capitalize on emerging opportunities.

Qualifications:

Experience & Education


• 7+ years of experience in key account management, sales analytics, e-commerce, or a related field required. Online account management experience is a plus.
• Experience managing national accounts or online retail partnerships is highly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Data Analytics, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Knowledge of publishing, particularly Bible, academic, or reference publishing, is strongly preferred.

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to transform complex data into actionable business insights.
• Proven success managing sales forecasts, budgets, and revenue objectives.
• Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong presentation and communication abilities, with confidence sharing recommendations across all levels of the organization.
• Exceptional organization, project management, and follow-through.
• Proficiency in Excel, e-commerce analytics platforms, and data visualization tools.
• Curiosity and strategic thinking to identify market trends, customer behavior shifts, and new growth opportunities.
• Adaptability and resilience in a fast-moving digital retail environment.

 

The salary range for this position is $70,000 – $90,000. We recognize that attracting the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company.  As a result, we aim for flexibility in structuring competitive compensation offers to ensure we are able to attract the best candidates.  The quoted salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on the selected candidate's experience, industry knowledge, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process.
