Join our Technology Team and advance your career as a Senior Delivery Manager
This role is responsible for supporting a portfolio of applications in the Supply Trading and Shipping ecosystem, that assists Finance and other teams by automating tasks.
As a Senior Delivery Manager you are a digital expert bringing deep specialist expertise to bp. Delivery Managers work on the strategic technology platforms we exploit from the market, or come with deep skills in the implementation and integration of market solutions into our overall technology landscape. You will bring a broad base of Digital technical knowledge and a strong understanding of software delivery principles. You will be familiar with lifecycle methods, with Agile delivery and the DevOps approach at the core. You will be skilled in the core prompting techniques, in the delivery and operation of the technologies you deliver, working as part of multi-disciplinary squads.
Please note that this role operates within standard office hours, with possible standby support on weekends (once every quarter),
In this role You will:
Partner with Finance Tech Leads and Product Managers to prioritize, plan, and accelerate high-impact digital initiatives
Lead and elevate the SAP Service Support ecosystem for bp’s Trading & Shipping Finance
Act as a trusted technology guide, shaping and running important IT services
Own service delivery excellence – ensuring performance, resilience, and alignment with SLOs and business outcomes
Champion compliance and operational integrity across all services and processes
Drive DevOps and modern delivery models, removing blockers and boosting team velocity
Build strong vendor partnerships and continuously improve service quality and customer experience
Develop a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, empowering teams to optimize performance and user value
Collaborate across global teams to deliver seamless, scalable solutions
Be the connector across IT, business, and partners to turn strategy into impactful delivery
What You will need to be successful:
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field
Confirmed experience in Finance environments powered by SAP, with strong process expertise
Fluent English skills – both written and spoken
Hands-on expertise in SAP modules (FI/CO, AP/AR, GL)
Demonstrated leadership capability – team management and partner/vendor coordination
Strong project delivery experience – from design and planning to implementation and support
Knowledge of modern service delivery models (SRE, ITIL) and an outcome focus attitude
Track record of leading end-to-end project lifecycles (requirements → deployment → support)
Experience driving Organizational Change and Release Management
Ability to lead growth planning and portfolio prioritization, balancing cost, impact, and system alignment
Exposure to major incident management in SAP environments is a strong advantage
Desirable criteria:
Experience in financial derivatives, ideally in energy commodity trading.
Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Git, and Microsoft Fabric.
