Role Overview
We're looking for a Conversion Copywriter who can sell crypto without sounding like every other project shouting into the void. You'll own the words that move people, from the first ad they ever see to the email that finally gets them to commit. This is the engine room of our growth, and the copy is yours.
You think in hooks, angles and objections. You know that a sign-up is won or lost in the first line, and that "high-converting" is something you can prove, not just claim. You're comfortable writing for a sceptical, crypto-native audience who can smell a lazy promise from a mile off.
We are a remote-first company. We welcome applications from anywhere in the world but we work off South African Standard Time office hours.
What you'll do
- Write copy that converts, not just reads well: This is the heart of the role. You'll write the ads, the landing pages, the emails and the in-challenge messaging that turn a cold scroll into a paying participant. Every word earns its place or it gets cut.
- Own the email and lifecycle journey: You'll write and shape the sequences that carry a lead from first sign-up to active participant and beyond. Welcome flows, launch sequences, re-engagement, win-back. You understand timing, segmentation and the psychology of the inbox, and you write each message to do a specific job.
- Fuel paid media with sharp creative: You'll partner with the performance team to write the hooks, angles and primary copy behind our Meta and paid campaigns. You know that the creative is where the spend lives or dies, and you can produce volume without dropping quality.
- Crack the crypto audience: You'll get inside the head of a trader, work out what they fear and what they want, and write in a voice that earns their trust. You translate complex crypto and trading concepts into copy that lands with both the degens and the newcomers.
- Test, learn and sharpen: You treat copy as something to be measured. You'll write variants, watch what wins, and feed those lessons back into everything you produce, so the work gets better launch on launch.
Your skills and experience
- Proven conversion copywriter: A strong portfolio of direct response copy that drove real results. Ads, emails, landing pages and sales sequences where you can point to what converted and why.
- Email and lifecycle experience: Hands-on experience writing and structuring email and lifecycle campaigns, with a feel for segmentation, timing and the role each message plays in the journey.
- Paid media literacy: You've written for paid social, ideally Meta, and you understand how copy works alongside creative and targeting to drive performance.
- Crypto fluency: A genuine understanding of crypto, trading and the culture around it. You can write credibly for this audience because you actually get it.
- AI-powered workflow: You use AI to multiply your output, not just to draft the odd paragraph. You've built prompts, systems or workflows that automate real parts of your process, whether that's generating and testing variants at scale, repurposing copy across channels, or building research and briefing flows. You can show us what you've built and the leverage it gives you.
- Numbers-aware: You don't write into a vacuum. You care how copy performs and you use data to make it sharper.
- Fast and prolific: You can produce high-quality copy at the pace a daily, launch driven business demands, without needing it dragged out of you.
- Direct communicator: You write and speak clearly in UK English, you have a bias to action, and you thrive in a lean, high-output team where the results sit squarely with you.
