Job description

Sydney or Melbourne preferred | Hybrid flexibility | $70K–$75K base + super + performance commission

Are you a driven, resilient and target-focused communicator who loves helping people make big life decisions?

At Torrens University Australia, we’re looking for a Future Student Recruitment Consultant to join our Domestic Future Students team, supporting prospective students across our Business and Health verticals. This is a fast-paced, sales-led role where you’ll guide future students from first enquiry through to enrolment, helping them choose the right course and take the next step in their education journey.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-performance environment, enjoys consultative selling, and is motivated by meaningful earning potential linked to results.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll manage a pipeline of warm prospective students and applications, using phone, email, CRM activity and face-to-face campus engagement to convert interest into enrolments.

Day to day, you will:

  • Own the student journey from enquiry and application through to enrolment.
  • Make high-volume outbound calls, with around 50+ calls per day expected.
  • Use a consultative sales approach to understand each student’s goals, motivations and barriers.
  • Convert warm leads into enrolled students across Business and Health courses.
  • Review applications against published entry requirements and issue offers where appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate lead, application and enrolment records in Salesforce.
  • Follow up quickly and consistently to keep students moving through the enrolment process.
  • Host or support campus tours, open days and information sessions.
  • Work closely with admissions, onboarding and academic teams to create a smooth student experience.
  • Contribute to individual and team enrolment targets.

This is not a passive advisory role. It is a role for someone who is proactive, commercially minded, disciplined with follow-up, and energised by achieving targets.

What success looks like

A strong performer in this role is consistent, organised and motivated by results. You’ll be comfortable managing a busy pipeline, making daily outbound calls, tracking your activity, and staying focused on conversion outcomes.

Top performers are typically people who bring grit, curiosity and strong sales discipline. They know how to build trust quickly, handle objections professionally and keep momentum through the enrolment cycle.

What’s in it for you

  • Base salary: $70K–$75K + super
  • Performance commission: linked to enrolment outcomes and target achievement
  • Strong earning potential: high performers may achieve total earnings around $120K–$160K+ depending on performance, targets and commission plan eligibility
  • Hybrid working: approximately 50/50 office and work from home
  • Preferred location: Sydney or Melbourne
  • Permanent full-time opportunity
  • Free study opportunities related to your career, plus access to LinkedIn Learning, Torrens University short courses and more
  • The chance to join a purpose-led, B Corp certified university helping students change their lives through education

About you

You may come from education, admissions, student recruitment, contact centre sales, course advisory, customer acquisition, membership sales or another consultative sales environment.

You will bring:

  • Experience working toward sales, conversion or enrolment targets.
  • Confidence making high-volume outbound calls and managing a busy pipeline.
  • A consultative approach, with the ability to build trust and guide decision-making.
  • Strong resilience, motivation and follow-through.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organisation and time management skills.
  • CRM experience, ideally Salesforce.
  • High attention to detail and confidence working with application, eligibility and compliance requirements.
  • A team-focused mindset with the drive to be a consistent top performer.

Experience in higher education, VET, admissions or student recruitment is helpful, but not essential. What matters most is your ability to engage, convert and deliver results.
