Job description

MHM Automation (MHM) designs and delivers automated systems for the food processing and logistics industries. This is a remote role based in the Mid-West.

Summary 

The Sales Manager | USA is responsible for driving sales growth and developing customer relationships across the Materials Handling business unit within the assigned geographic territory of the United States. Reporting to the Sales & Solutions Manager, the role focuses on identifying, developing, and converting opportunities across the full product and solution portfolio, while maintaining strong relationships with existing customers. 

The role requires a strong understanding of customer processing requirements and market dynamics across relevant industries, combined with the ability to present technically informed, value‑based solutions. Working closely with the Sales & Solutions team, engineering, pricing, and project delivery functions, the Sales Manager ensures opportunities are progressed in line with sales governance processes and commercial priorities. 

This is a hands‑on, customer‑facing role requiring industry awareness, disciplined opportunity management, and a strong commitment to customer experience and long‑term relationship development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales growth by identifying, developing, and closing opportunities for Materials Handling equipment, systems, and solutions across the U.S. territory.
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline to consistently achieve revenue and order intake targets.
  • Develop new business while expanding relationships with existing customers across multiple industries.
  • Conduct customer meetings, site visits, presentations, and solution discussions to understand needs and deliver value-driven proposals.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to identify growth opportunities and provide market intelligence.
  • Prepare and support technical and commercial proposals in collaboration with Engineering, Pricing, and Project Delivery teams.
  • Maintain accurate opportunity tracking, forecasting, and reporting within the CRM system.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Service, Aftermarket, and Project teams to ensure successful solution development and execution.
  • Support marketing and business development initiatives, including trade shows, industry events, distributor relationships, and customer engagement activities.
  • Promote a culture of safety, integrity, customer focus, and continuous improvement while serving as a professional ambassador for the company.
