Job description

At Clark Pacific, the Field Engineer plays a key role in the successful manufacture and installation of architectural and structural building systems. Working remotely and on-site as part of an integrated project team, this role applies project management, problem-solving, and communication skills across engineering, manufacturing, and field operations to support projects from production through installation.

This is a hands-on, field-focused role that partners closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure quality, safety, and project success. You will be required to travel 95% of the time to different constructions sites in various states. States you would be traveling to Texas, New Mexico, New York, Nevada. Site locations may change depending on business needs. 

Salary range: $105,000-$145,000 depending on experience. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support manufacturing-related activities during the production phase, including schedule reporting, pre-pour and post-pour inspections, and ensuring quality aligns with project specifications and PCI standards.
  • Assist with field operations during the erection phase, including reviewing crane studies, rigging plans, site logistics, shipping coordination, and manpower planning.
  • Coordinate on-site activities with General Contractors to ensure projects are executed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Support overall project management efforts including issue identification and resolution, tracking contract requirements, and escalating concerns as needed.
  • Assist in developing Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) to support safe field operations.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with engineering, manufacturing, quality control, and field teams.
  • Contribute to project deliverables including schedule, cost, and quality targets.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
  • 1–3 years of experience in commercial construction or a related field.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to project sites as needed (up to 95%).

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and blueprints.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to visualize construction processes and details in 3D.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

  • Combination of field, office, and manufacturing environments.
  • Exposure to construction site conditions including weather, equipment, and varying terrain.
  • Frequent standing, walking, and travel to job sites.
