Job description

About Aputra
Our founders are ex-Lazard and Partners Group, and we're headquartered in London and San Francisco. Aptura brings real-world expertise from finance into AI model training. We bridge the gap between human and artificial intelligence.

About this role: You'll work directly on improving how Frontier AI handles corporate finance and gain rare, early exposure to how AI labs actually develop their models.

As part of the project, you will contribute your M&A advisory experience to a structured research project used to help improve AI reasoning across investment banking and capital markets. The work involves generating, refining, and evaluating content that reflects how M&A professionals think through deals from pitching through execution and close.

What we're looking for:

  • 3–7 years of experience in M&A advisory at a recognized advisory firm (bulge bracket, elite boutique, or top-tier Big 4 Corporate Finance)

  • Associate level with hands-on deal execution experience

  • Deep expertise in buy-side and sell-side M&A, valuation, and due diligence coordination

  • Strong financial modeling skills (incl. DCF, LBO, trading comps, precedent transactions) and comfort with CIMs, management presentations, and board materials

  • Ability to articulate M&A judgment clearly and precisely in writing

  • Commitment: 20+ hours/week, flexible scheduling

  • Location: Fully remote

  • Compensation: Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience

  • Start date: Immediate / Rolling

  • Referral bonus: For any successful referral hired into this role
