About the Role

The Senior Development Manager leads the full business development lifecycle, from opportunity identification and capture strategy through proposal submission and award support. This role serves as both a strategic leader and hands-on proposal manager, leading cross-functional teams to develop winning solutions for government and commercial healthcare opportunities.

Success in this role requires exceptional leadership, proposal management expertise, relationship-building skills, and the ability to guide multidisciplinary teams through complex, fast-paced proposal efforts while maintaining outstanding quality and meeting aggressive deadlines.

  • Extensive experience leading complex proposal development efforts from capture through submission.
  • Outstanding project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and facilitation skills across technical, operational, and executive teams.
  • Strategic thinking balanced with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Experience working with government contracting, healthcare consulting, or healthcare services organizations is highly desirable.

Qualifications

Required

  • Eight (8)+ years of experience in business development, proposal management, capture management, marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum five (5) years of progressive leadership experience managing project teams or proposal teams.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex proposal efforts with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong project management, communication, and facilitation skills.
