St John of God Health Care (SJGHC) is one of the largest private providers of health care services in Australia, employing more than 15,000 employees (caregivers). We operate 26 hospitals and services comprising more than 3,300 hospital beds, including home nursing, disability services and social outreach programs.

As a Risk and Compliance Advisor, you will play a key part in supporting SJGHC to strengthen its enterprise risk and compliance capability, with a strong focus on compliance management, regulatory adherence, and continuous improvement.

Working within a second line of defence function, you will help design, implement, and maintain robust frameworks, while partnering with stakeholders across the organisation to identify, assess, and manage risks and obligations. You will lead key compliance activities including legislative change review, incident management, privacy support, and the oversight of disclosure frameworks such as conflicts of interest and gifts and benefits.

The role also contributes to monitoring control effectiveness, supporting training and capability uplift, and delivering high-quality insights and reporting to senior governance forums. Collaborating closely with clinical and corporate teams, you will help ensure alignment across governance frameworks and drive a proactive, organisation-wide approach to risk and compliance that enhances outcomes for patients and clients.

You will bring at least three years’ experience in risk or compliance, with a strong understanding of relevant principles and frameworks. A collaborative team player, you have excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels. You are organised, adaptable and able to manage competing priorities while delivering high-quality outcomes. Strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are essential, along with a current driver’s licence.

We can offer you

  • Salary: $128,839 to $143,125 per annum, plus 12% superannuation  

  • Permanent Full-Time position

  • Located at our Perth CBD or Melbourne CBD office with 40% work from home option
