Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking to hire a Sr. Principal Engineer Supplier Quality or a Principal Engineer Supplier Quality to join our Mission Assurance team based on experience.

 

This will be a 100% remote role, but candidate must be located within 30 miles of the Manchester, New Hampshire area. This position requires extensive travel throughout New England, Upstate New York and Canada.  This position requires the ability to fly commercially on short notice to meet company commitments

Responsible for Supplier Quality risk management. Develops and implements supplier quality evaluation and control systems. Assures supplier process and product quality, including contractual, regulatory, and technical compliance. Interfaces directly with supplier personnel and must be knowledgeable in and capable of assessing both supplier quality and manufacturing processes and procedures. Conducts product and process verification activities, monitors supplier quality performance, and drives root cause corrective action analysis for supplier quality issues. Supports the maintenance of the approved supplier list and periodically reviews supplier performance to determine whether suppliers should remain on the approved list. Manages supplier requests for waivers, deviations and discrepancy reporting process. Keeps management apprised of supplier performance, quality status, and risks. Coordinates and oversees Supplier Quality plan implementation through all program phases. Actively engages in supplier evaluation, qualification and selection as part of the Business Acquisition Process (BAP) and as new procurements are required on existing programs. Manages implementation of Supplier Quality processes, including supplier approval activities, source selection evaluations, supplier classification designation (Critical, Key and Standard), development and execution of supplier quality risk assessments and mitigation plans, and supplier quality requirements development and flow-downs.

Basic Qualifications :

 

  • Principal Engineer Supplier Quality:  Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of Quality experience, OR a Master’s degree and 3 years of Quality experience, or PhD and 1 year of Quality experience (quality inspector, supplier quality, program quality, quality analyst etc).

  • Must have a Valid State Driver’s License to operate a motor vehicle and dependable motor vehicle to travel to local suppliers

  • Experience with AS9100/ISO9001 Quality Management Systems

  • Experience with non-conformance and corrective action process

  • Proficient with MS Office, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access per business needs

  • Sr. Principal Engineer Supplier Quality: Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of Quality experience, OR a Master’s degree and 6 years of Quality experience, or PhD and 4 years of Quality Experience.

  • Must have a Valid State Driver’s License to operate a motor vehicle and dependable motor vehicle to travel to local suppliers

  • Experience with AS9100/ISO9001 Quality Management Systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math)

  • SAP Business System experience

  • Supplier Quality experience in Aerospace industry

  • AS9100 Auditing experience

  • AS9102 FAI Experience

Primary Level Salary Range: $94,200.00 - $141,200.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $117,500.00 - $176,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
