Role Summary:

The Senior Director, U.S. Pricing & Contracting is a strategic and operational leader responsible for developing and executing pricing and contracting strategies that optimize patient access, portfolio value, and financial performance across U.S. channels. This role shapes pricing and access strategy across the product lifecycle and serves as a key advisor on trade-offs related to pricing, reimbursement, and access.

The role integrates pricing strategy, payer and provider contracting, government pricing compliance, gross-to-net (GTN) performance, and advanced analytics to support in-line and pipeline products across their lifecycle.

The role requires strong leadership, deep expertise in the U.S. market, and a demonstrated ability to bring products to market successfully in complex, highly regulated environments.

 

Primary Responsibilities include:

Enterprise Pricing & Contracting Strategy

  • Develop and lead U.S. pricing and contracting strategies across assets, including launch pricing, lifecycle management, and portfolio optimization
  • Establish pricing frameworks, governance processes, and decision-making forums to enable disciplined execution and compliance
  • Translate clinical, economic, and real-world evidence into differentiated pricing and access strategies
  • Provide strategic recommendations on pricing, reimbursement, and access trade-offs to support business objectives

Financial Leadership & GTN Management

  • Lead gross-to-net (GTN) strategy, including forecasting, modeling, and performance management across commercial and government channels
  • Develop robust pricing and contracting analytics, including payer landscape assessment and contract performance tracking
  • Partner with Finance to evaluate pricing and contracting scenarios and support accurate forecasting and revenue planning
  • Oversee development of financial models (rebates, discounts, pricing scenarios, share shifts) to inform decision-making
  • Ensure operational excellence in contract execution, including rebate processing, chargebacks, and claims adjudication

Government Pricing & Compliance

  • Provide oversight of government pricing calculations and reporting, including AMP, Best Price, ASP, 340B, FSS, Medicaid, and Medicare
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state pricing regulations and evolving policy requirements
  • Oversee reporting processes, audit readiness, and vendor coordination
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and assess implications for pricing and access strategies

Leadership & Cross-Functional Influence

  • Partner closely with Market Access, HEOR, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Commercial, Medical, and Government Affairs teams
  • Serve as a strategic advisor on pricing, contracting, and access decisions across the organization
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including payers, GPOs, specialty pharmacies, and vendors
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing pricing and contracting team
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement, while managing resources in alignment with business priorities

 

 

Education and Skills Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Finance, Economics, Business, or related field)
  • MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred
  • 15+ years in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in U.S. Market Access, with deep expertise in pricing and contracting
  • Proven experience developing and executing pricing and contracting strategies across commercial and government channels
  • Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, 340B, VA/DoD, and PBM contracting environments
  • Demonstrated success in GTN forecasting, financial modeling, and contract negotiation
  • Deep knowledge of government pricing regulations and compliance requirements
  • Strong strategic, financial, and analytical skills
  • Executive-level communication and stakeholder influence capabilities
  • Deep understanding of payer dynamics, reimbursement, and access pathways
  • Ability to lead in complex, highly regulated, and rapidly evolving environments
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing without authority
MA Pay Range
$241,000β€”$285,000 USD

 

The pay range reflects the base pay range Dyne reasonably expects to pay for this role at the time of posting. Individual compensation depends on factors such as education, experience, job-related knowledge, and demonstrated skills.
