Position: Power Platform Developer/Engineer

Number of hours: 40 hours/week
Schedule: UK Timezone

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Power Platform Developer/Engineer who can independently design, build, and optimize systems using Microsoft Dataverse, PowerApps, Power Automate, and Power BI. This role requires strong analytical thinking, ethical decision-making, and the ability to transform complex workflows and data sets into automated, intelligent, and compliant solutions. You will work closely with stakeholders to build tools, automate processes, and deliver data-driven insights that support operational and investment-related decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

System Design & Workflow Automation

  • Design, build, and maintain end-to-end solutions using MS Dataverse, PowerApps, Power Automate, and related Microsoft technologies.
  • Analyze business workflows and create automated systems to streamline, simplify, and reduce manual work.
  • Integrate multiple data sources and build tools to support seamless operational processes.

Data Ingestion, Transformation & Calculations

  • Develop data ingestion modules to ensure efficient data acquisition, cleansing, and standardization.
  • Build complex financial and investment-related calculations, including IRR and related performance metrics.
  • Transform raw data into meaningful insights using advanced DAX, Power Query, and scripting logic.

Compliance & Audit Features

  • Implement system components that support monthly snapshots, data versioning, and audit trail functionality.
  • Maintain secure and ethical data design principles aligned with organizational standards and regulatory expectations.

Reporting & Insights

  • Create visually intuitive dashboards and reports in Power BI (or similar tools) tailored to stakeholder needs.
  • Provide clear, digestible insights to leadership, operations, compliance, and investment teams.
  • Continuously enhance reporting capabilities to support evolving business requirements.

  • Proven experience designing and building production-level solutions using:
    • MS Dataverse
    • PowerApps
    • Power Automate / Power Platform
    • Power BI (or equivalent Microsoft tools)
  • Understanding of financial and investment calculations, including IRR.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality results with minimal supervision.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Experience analyzing business workflows and translating them into automated digital systems.
  • Proficiency in building data ingestion, cleansing, and standardization tools.
  • Strong data modeling and transformation skills (DAX, Power Query, PowerFx, M language).
  • Experience implementing compliance features such as audit trails, snapshot logic, and data history tracking.
  • Solid ability to produce clear, stakeholder-friendly dashboards and reports.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and systems-thinking skills.
