Excited to introduce our client- A NFT platform for Luxury brands. They are convinced that the progressive migration of our social life to the Metaverse will only accelerate. In an era of conscious consumerism, and overall saturation, the Metaverse opens vast opportunities for Luxury Brands to develop a new business segment around digital assets and connect with an entire new generation of users.

Our client is on a mission to help Brands enter this new market, while providing fans with a reference marketplace to purchase, trade, and showcase NFTs issued by Luxury brands. In essence, it sits at the intersection of Luxury, and 3 generation-defining trends: gaming, blockchain and metaverse.

Our client was formed in July 2021 by a team of serial entrepreneurs with deep backgrounds in crypto and luxury. We raised a 2.2m seed round in August from several venture capital investors, including Tioga Capital, White Star, Indico Capital, Shilling, as well as prominent business angels such as Formula E champion Félix da Costa. Our client is incorporated in Portugal, with most of our team located in the Lisbon / Cascais area. But we also have team members working from the US, France and Switzerland - we are a remote-first company.

They are looking for talented and motivated people who are willing to support the company structure for growth and success while keeping growing their own skills.

The Frontend Developer will be part of the Engineering Team.

Responsibilities:

• Build complex web applications using the latest web tooling and modern JavaScript frameworks, including ReactJS/NextJS and Node.js that are meant to scale to a global level
• Work within a team, collaborating with your colleagues (Product Owners, UX, Software Engineers) to ship impactful products
• Use experimentation and data analysis to tune your web applications to be high-performing, intuitive and functional
• Mentor, educate and support those around you, as well as other web engineers within the company.

• 5+ years of full-time engineering experience building ReactJS and/or NextJS applications
• Knowledge and experience with GraphQL data communication
• Product cycles, scrum sprints and typical agile methodologies
• Strong Javascript coding/debugging abilities: You have advanced knowledge of at least one programming language and are happy to learn more.
• You have experience and passion for building complex, performant, responsive, accessible and beautiful web experiences that are well-tested, documented and monitored.
• Expertise with modern browser-based Javascript frameworks, specifically React.
• Strong understanding of web technology concepts: HTTP, HTML, CSS, Web APIs, etc
• Strong understanding of information security concepts and concerns: such as CORS, CSP, CSRF, XSS, etc.
• Design and business acumen: You understand requirements, whether you're working on an API used by other developers, an internal tool consumed by our operation teams, or a feature used by millions of customers, your attention to details leads to delightful user experience. You are also comfortable driving development from a sketch to a polished product
• You are adept at communicating and collaborating effectively with others, promoting your ideas as well as being humble when you may be wrong
• Fluency in English is mandatory, fluency in Portuguese and/or French is a plus.
• Ideal candidates will have prior experience handling cryptocurrencies and collecting NFTs.
• Our client is a start-up so the ideal candidate must be adaptable to start-up environments, with a roll-up your sleeves mentality. Team-spirit, positive attitude and seeing solutions rather than problems are a must!

We would also appreciate if you have:

• Web3 Integration and experience with smartcontracts

• You have experience with modern web tools (npm/Yarn, Babel, Browserify/Webpack/Rollup, etc.)

• Experience with Server-side rendering and SEO optimization

• You are knowledgeable in Javascript typing languages/linters (Flow/TypeScript)

• Expert with CSS pre-processors such as SCSS, LESS

• Experience using unit testing development

• Knowledge in ES6 and the latest ECMAScript features

• You are familiar with service-oriented architecture, distributed systems and mobile first approaches

• You have Web/Visual Design, UI/UX, and other relevant HCI experience

• Previous experience with CMS (content-management-system) such as Wordpress

• You have experience creating experimentation-heavy, content-driven websites whereas performance and usability matter most

• You have experience building large-scale, device-responsive websites that are long-lived and have an app-like feel

• Previous Experience with AWS DevOps

• Curious about new libraries and frameworks and passionate about clean and well-documented code.
