We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Storekeeper. The Storekeeper will play a vital role in maintaining the efficient operation of our inventory and storage facilities. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials, supplies, and products.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, transactions, and stock movements using digital inventory management systems or manual records.
  • Ensure proper labeling, tagging, and categorization of items for easy identification and retrieval.
  • Monitor inventory levels and initiate purchase requests to replenish stock as needed.
  • Perform regular stock checks and conduct audits to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
  • Coordinate with other departments to fulfill internal material requests and external customer orders.
  • Prepare and package items for shipment, ensuring they are appropriately labeled and packaged securely.
  • Follow safety guidelines and best practices for the handling, storage, and disposal of materials, including hazardous substances if applicable.
  • Maintain a clean and organized storage environment, implementing proper shelving and storage methods.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to arrange timely deliveries and resolve any delivery-related issues.
  • Assist in implementing improvements to the inventory management process to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss inventory status, challenges, and potential improvements.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior storekeeping staff, if applicable.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor or management.

  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to address unexpected situations that may arise in the storage environment.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with colleagues.
  • Flexibility to work shifts and extended hours as needed.
