Job description

Why Blue Coding?

At Blue Coding, we specialize in hiring excellent developers and amazing people from all over Latin America and other parts of the world. For the past 11 years, we’ve helped cutting-edge companies in the United States and Canada build great development teams and develop great products. Large multinationals, digital agencies, Saas providers, and software consulting firms are just a few of our clients. Our team of over 150 engineers, project managers, QA, UX/UI designers, and many more is distributed in more than 10 countries across the Americas. We are a fully remote company working with a wide array of technologies, and we have expertise in every stage of the software development process.

Our team is highly connected, united, and culturally diverse, and our collaborators are involved in many initiatives around the world, from wildlife preservation to volunteering at local charities. We stand for honesty, fairness, respect, efficiency, hard work, and cooperation.

This position is open exclusively to candidates based in LATAM countries.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a detail-oriented and systems-minded Accountant to work with one of our US clients in the transportation and hospitality space. This fully remote role will be instrumental in supporting the client's back-office finance team, with a primary focus on accelerating their month-end close process and resolving a reporting backlog.

The ideal candidate is not just a strong executor, but a continuous improver who can dive into historical reconciliations, identify bottlenecks, and help automate workflows using tools like NetSuite and Power Query. Reporting to Senior Finance Leadership and collaborating daily with a US-based Senior Accountant, this person will play a key role in a high-growth, lean finance operation.

If you are fully fluent in English, proactive, communicate well, and have a strong eye for visual detail and interaction design, this role might be a great fit for you! Our jobs are fully remote and you will be integrated directly into the client’s team, gaining valuable experience and forming meaningful connections.

Here are some of the exciting day-to-day challenges you will face in this role:
  • Partner with the US-based Senior Accountant to execute the monthly close, with an initial focus on resolving historical backlogs and bringing 2026 financials current.
  • Prepare and post standard and complex journal entries, handle accruals, and maintain prepaid amortization schedules in NetSuite.
  • Perform high-volume, multi-account bank reconciliations and investigate and resolve historical and current discrepancies on time.
  • Download, format, and reconcile payroll reports from ADP, and prepare corresponding payroll journal entries for accurate GL allocation across departments and markets.
  • Evaluate current workflows and propose and implement solutions using Excel, Power Query, or NetSuite automations to reduce manual data entry and shorten the close cycle.
  • Assist with AP processes, including invoice matching, vendor reconciliation, and batch preparation for US-based payment release.
  • Support leadership with audit preparation, credit card transaction clean-up, system implementations, and special reporting projects as needed.

  • You will shine if you have:
  • Minimum 1 year of active, hands-on experience using NetSuite (mandatory).
  • Strong, demonstrable understanding of US GAAP, the full month-end close cycle, and complex reconciliations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power Query and dynamic formulas is highly desirable.
  • Direct experience handling payroll reporting via ADP (highly preferred).
  • Experience working with or implementing workforce management platforms such as Connecteam (a strong advantage).
  • Experience managing through a close-cycle backlog is a plus.
  • Fluent, professional English (written and verbal) with the ability to communicate directly with US-based leadership.
  • A process improvement mindset, you don't just execute, you actively look for ways to make things better.
  • Ability to work standard US business hours (Eastern/Central Time) from a dedicated, secure remote workspace.

  • What we offer:
  • Salary in USD
  • 100% Remote
