Volunteer Opportunity: NPowerMATCH Mentor (Unpaid)

Location: Remote / Virtual 
Time Commitment: ~2 hours/month for up to 16 weeks (flexible)

About the Role

NPowerMATCH is seeking volunteer mentors to support aspiring and early-career tech professionals. This opportunity supports NPower’s nonprofit mission to expand access to technology careers. Mentors provide guidance, encouragement, and industry insight to help mentees grow professionally.

Responsibilities

• Be matched with a mentee and provide guidance during the program cycle
• Meet virtually ~once per month (flexible scheduling)
• Share career advice, industry insights, and professional guidance
• Support mentee goal-setting and confidence-building
• Optional participation in program events or check-ins

Who Should Volunteer

• Professionals in tech, IT, cybersecurity, data, business, or related fields
• Interested in mentoring and supporting early-career talent
• Able to engage periodically during the program cycle

Important Note

This is a 100% volunteer opportunity with a nonprofit organization. Mentors are not compensated and participate voluntarily. This role does not create an employment relationship with NPower. Volunteers provide supplemental support and do not perform duties of paid staff. Participation is flexible, and mentors may withdraw at any time.
