Job description

Job Summary

Intellicene is seeking a strategic, global, hands-on AI first marketing leader to own and elevate our marketing function and join the senior leadership team. Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Marketing will set the marketing strategy, lead the team, and run marketing as a revenue engine generating qualified pipeline alongside Sales and Business Development while sharpening how we position our physical security software platform against incumbents in the VMS and PSIM market.

This is a global leadership role responsible for supporting marketing initiatives across North America, Southeast Asia, India, and other international markets. The successful candidate must be comfortable collaborating with global teams, customers, partners, and stakeholders across multiple time zones. Given the international scope of the business, flexibility outside of traditional business hours is occasionally required to support key meetings, events, and strategic initiatives.

This role is ideal for someone who operates as both a thinker and a builder: someone who can analyze and define our positioning, craft a compelling, differentiated narrative for Intellicene VMS, Control and NowForce, and then roll up their sleeves to bring that story to life across channels. You will own the full marketing mix - from brand, content, and demand generation to product marketing, events, and marketing operations; and you will be expected to lead with innovative AI-first marketing practices. If you are energized by tools, data, storytelling, and the rapidly evolving role of AI in how buyers discover and evaluate software, this role is for you.

Job Description

What You'll Do

  • Own Intellicene's marketing strategy and annual marketing plan, including global brand positioning and messaging for our physical security and incident-response products.
  • Lead and support global marketing initiatives across multiple regions, ensuring messaging, campaigns, and go-to-market strategies are aligned to local market needs while maintaining a consistent global brand.
  • Build strong relationships with international customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to support business growth in key markets including Southeast Asia and India.
  • Operate as a player-coach; setting direction leveraging Agentic AI capabilities while also executing key initiatives and building at scale a high-performing marketing team over time.
  • Define and own product positioning and messaging, ensuring consistency across marketing, sales, and customer communications.
  • Craft a compelling, differentiated narrative that resonates with security and operations professionals and drives demand.
  • Translate complex product capabilities into clear customer value and business outcomes.
  • Own and execute a content strategy that drives awareness, engagement, and pipeline growth across multiple channels.
  • Design and optimize multi-channel demand generation campaigns; digital, web, paid media, email, webinars, outbound, and channel that generate qualified pipeline and support revenue goals.
  • Partner with Sales, Business Development, Product Management, and Customer Success to align messaging, refine the ICP, and improve conversion across the funnel; enable Sales with clear messaging, content, and tools.
  • Act as the voice of the customer across the organization and bring market insights into strategic GTM decisions.
  • Plan and execute customer and industry events, including user conferences and tradeshows such as ISC West and GSX.
  • Own and optimize the website and digital presence with a strong focus on discoverability across both traditional search and AI answer engines.
  • Maintain data quality within the marketing database and martech stack so campaigns reach the right audiences.
  • Own marketing performance and report results to leadership - pipeline contribution, CAC, campaign ROI, and funnel KPIs.
  • Manage the marketing budget, agency relationships, and the martech and AI tooling stack.

What You Bring

Experience & Leadership

  • 10+ years of B2B marketing experience, including 3+ years’ leading and scaling teams; experience reporting into or operating alongside an executive team.
  • Track record in B2B SaaS or enterprise technology; physical security, security software, or hardware-plus-software experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ownership of GTM strategy, positioning, and messaging, with proven ability to translate customer insights into campaigns.
  • Demonstrated ownership of marketing budgets and measurable pipeline and revenue results.
  • Demonstrated experience leading global or multi-regional marketing programs, with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders across different cultures, markets, and time zones.
  • Ability and willingness to operate in a global business environment that occasionally requires flexibility outside of standard business hours to support international teams, customers, partners, and events.
  • Strong understanding of pipeline generation and revenue impact, with the ability to balance long-term strategy and near-term execution.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to drive alignment and accountability across stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field (technical background or MBA a plus).

AI & AIO Capabilities - Critical

Intellicene markets in a buying environment that are increasingly mediated by AI. The successful candidate must treat AI fluency and AI Optimization (AIO) as core competencies, not optional extras.

  • AI Optimization (AIO): Proven ability to optimize content, messaging, and digital properties so Intellicene is accurately discovered, cited, and represented across AI answer engines and generative search (e.g., Claude CoWork, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, MSFT Copilot and CoWork - Frontier) alongside, not instead of, traditional SEO.
  • Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and structured-content practices: structuring web content, FAQs, and knowledge assets so AI systems surface Intellicene correctly in buyer research.
  • Hands-on fluency with AI marketing tools for content creation, research, campaign ideation, copy generation, audience segmentation, and creative production - with sound judgment on quality, accuracy, and brand voice.
  • Ability to embed AI into marketing operations and workflows to increase team velocity and output, and to set guardrails for responsible, on-brand AI use.
  • Use of AI-driven analytics and insight tools to measure performance, model demand, and inform positioning and GTM decisions.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and a self-directed habit of evaluating and adopting emerging AI capabilities, while critically assessing accuracy, data privacy, and security implications.
  • Awareness of how AI reshapes the physical security software buyer's journey, and the ability to translate that into competitive advantage for Intellicene.

Tools & Working Style

  • Hands-on experience with marketing automation and CRM platforms (HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot, or Salesforce).
  • Strong, data-driven decision-making and analytics fluency.
  • Sharp attention to detail with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • A positive, curious mindset and genuine enthusiasm for discovering new software and AI tooling for marketing and content creation.
  • A self-starter mentality with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams, including in a hybrid or remote environment.
