We are currently searching for a Tandem Developer:

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend components on HPE NonStop (Tandem), adhering strictly to change control practices, coding standards, and platform-specific performance considerations (I/O, locking, concurrency).
• Analyze and resolve complex defects in legacy systems, performing transaction traceability, fault diagnosis, and corrective adjustments with minimal impact to ensure data integrity and operational continuity.
• Implement and maintain integrations with external systems using available NonStop mechanisms (services, flat files, message queues, TCP/IP sockets, processes), guaranteeing data validation, error handling, and traceability.
• Query, tune, and adjust NonStop databases (SQL/MP, SQL/MX, Enscribe), optimizing queries, structures, and access paths to maintain optimal response times and stability under heavy transactional loads.
• Document transaction flows, business rules, integration contracts, and operating procedures.
• Collaborate effectively with modern engineering teams (e.g., Java/Kafka environments) to map core system data and business rules into canonical models for enterprise-wide use.
• Automate repetitive operational and maintenance tasks using scripting and standard utilities within the NonStop ecosystem.

Requirements

• Banking Sector Experience: 3+ years of experience working within the banking or financial services industry, understanding its rigorous standards for security and transactional integrity.
• Analyze and resolve complex defects in legacy systems, performing transaction traceability, fault diagnosis, and corrective adjustments with minimal impact to ensure data integrity and operational continuity.
• Implement and maintain integrations with external systems using available NonStop mechanisms (services, flat files, message queues, TCP/IP sockets, processes), guaranteeing data validation, error handling, and traceability.
• Query, tune, and adjust NonStop databases (SQL/MP, SQL/MX, Enscribe), optimizing queries, structures, and access paths to maintain optimal response times and stability under heavy transactional loads.

• Experience collaborating on modernization projects (e.g., bridging legacy Tandem systems with modern Java/Kafka event-driven architectures).
• Familiarity with cloud-native foundations or AI coding assistants.
