BI ANALYST I


Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Associate BI Analyst / BI Analyst I to support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives. This role is ideal for someone early in their analytics career with strong technical aptitude and a passion for turning data into actionable insights.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
  • Write and refine SQL queries to extract, clean, and analyze data from multiple sources
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights
  • Perform ad hoc analysis to support business decisions
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reporting solutions
  • Assist in providing input for the building and maintenance of data models and ETL processes
  • Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights
  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and data models
  • Optimize report performance and usability for end users
  • Support data governance and best practices in reporting and analytics
  • Document reporting processes, data definitions, and workflows

Qualifications

Required: 

  •  1–3 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, reporting, or a related field
  • Strong SQL skills (joins, aggregations, data transformations) accompanied by accredited certifications
  • Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
  • Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management 

Preferred:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Power BI (including DAX, data modeling, Power Query, and relationships)
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts (Snowflake, BigQuery, etc.)
  • Exposure to ETL tools or data pipelines
  • Basic understanding of statistics or forecasting methods

Work Environment

Physical Demands

  • Primarily sedentary work with extended periods of sitting and computer use
  • Occasional lifting (up to 15 pounds) may be required if equipment is handled
