BI ANALYST I
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Associate BI Analyst / BI Analyst I to support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives. This role is ideal for someone early in their analytics career with strong technical aptitude and a passion for turning data into actionable insights.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Write and refine SQL queries to extract, clean, and analyze data from multiple sources
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights
- Perform ad hoc analysis to support business decisions
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reporting solutions
- Assist in providing input for the building and maintenance of data models and ETL processes
- Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and data models
- Optimize report performance and usability for end users
- Support data governance and best practices in reporting and analytics
- Document reporting processes, data definitions, and workflows
Qualifications
Required:
- 1β3 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, reporting, or a related field
- Strong SQL skills (joins, aggregations, data transformations) accompanied by accredited certifications
- Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
- Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
Preferred:
- Associateβs or Bachelorβs degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field
- Proficiency in Power BI (including DAX, data modeling, Power Query, and relationships)
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts (Snowflake, BigQuery, etc.)
- Exposure to ETL tools or data pipelines
- Basic understanding of statistics or forecasting methods

- Occasional lifting (up to 15 pounds) may be required if equipment is handled
