Accountant (US Taxation) at JWay Group

Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to manage and support day-to-day accounting operations with a strong understanding of US taxation. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations, and providing valuable financial insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of US federal and state tax returns.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants as needed.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in accounting records and reports.
• Support process improvements and financial reporting automation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in accounting, preferably with exposure to US taxation.
• Familiarity with IRS forms and tax compliance requirements.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Excel.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• CPA or US tax certification is a plus.
