JOB SUMMARY


We are seeking a Procurement Generalist to join our Indirect Procurement team as an individual contributor focused on supporting key aspects across the entirety of our scope, including spend & contract analysis, cost modeling, vendor management, and corporate cards and corporate travel to ensure Avid’s financial and operational interests are managed for.


This role will primarily serve as overflow support for the functional leaders on the Indirect Procurement team and will also provide various planning, reporting, and operational support to the Head of Indirect Procurement.


 The Procurement Generalist will be entrusted with managing a high volume of procurement activities while supporting cross-functional initiatives and selected stakeholder relationships. The role will be accountable for delivering measurable value and operational efficiency.


This role will follow a Remote work set-up, with a schedule of 9:00 PM – 06:00 AM  Philippine Standard Time.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Spend Management, Vendor Management, and Corporate Cards & Corporate Travel


  • Analyze details related to vendor spend and / or account records for subsequent actioning
  • Support commercial negotiations with vendors to achieve optimal pricing, terms, and service levels
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders – e.g. Finance, Information Security, Legal, etc. – to facilitate operational risk reviews, contract execution, and adjacent scope
  • Identify, track, and report on savings and value-add opportunities generated through strategic procurement activities
  • Approve POs in NetSuite or a comparable system, ensuring all purchases align with negotiated agreements, policies, and processes

 

Strategic Projects & Process Improvement:

  • Undertake stretch assignments to ideate and lead strategic initiatives aimed at optimizing and transforming existing procurement processes can inform procurement strategy
  • Partner with stakeholders to define business requirements and translate them into a clear procurement strategy

Accountability, Collaboration, and Reporting:


  • Take ownership of performance goals and deliver on key metrics related to spend under management, savings, and project completion
  • Partner effectively with internal and external stakeholders such as Finance, IT, Legal, and senior leadership to manage shared interests / workflows and ensure alignment on procurement strategy
  • Develop and present planned or ad hoc reports on procurement initiatives, spend trends, and project status

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years of professional work experience, including at least 1 year of experience in purchasing, procurement, or sourcing
  • Prior experience using Microsoft Office and ERP platforms (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle) to support procurement processes

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Supply Chain or other related field

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze information, exercise sound judgment, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
