Job description

About GitHub: GitHub is the world’s leading platform for agentic software development — powered by Copilot to build, scale, and deliver secure software. Over 180 million developers, including more than 90% of the Fortune 100 companies, use GitHub to collaborate, and more than 77,000 organisations have adopted GitHub Copilot.
Locations: In this role you can work from Remote, United States | Redmond, Washington United States | Bellevue, Washington United States
Overview:

We’re looking for a Program Manager, AI Enablement, to join our Team. You'll turn the AI First vision into a repeatable program across Developer Marketing Operations. You'll, also, run the team rhythm, manage workflow intake, coordinate sessions, track blockers, measure adoption, gather product feedback, and turn useful workflow wins into reusable patterns. This role suits someone who can create clarity in ambiguity, connect with teams, and turn a big shift into practical next steps.

You own the rhythm: intake sessions, follow-ups, adoption tracking, and the playbooks that make one team's win every team's starting point. You will also partner with engineers who build fast, and you keep leaders updated on what is working.

Responsibilities:

What you'll do

  • Run the AI First operating rhythm across Developer Marketing Operations and keep momentum in a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment.

  • Manage workflow intake from surveys, Slack, office hours, and team conversations; prioritize work, manage change, and negotiate deadlines and deliverables with stakeholders.

  • Help teams find recurring workflows worth building, and partner with AI Enablement Engineers to scope first wins.

  • Coordinate AI workflow sessions, small-group support, office hours, and follow-ups, and keep stakeholders informed.

  • Identify risks and blockers, track them, drive consensus on mitigation, and raise issues to senior team members when needed.

  • Define adoption KPIs and partner with operations to implement tracking and post-launch reporting.

  • Define process-improvement plans that match the cadence of the business and the team's goals.

  • Create regular updates for leaders and teams, and make shared wins visible so teams learn from each other.

  • Package early wins into playbooks, examples, templates, and repeatable motions other teams adopt.

Qualifications:

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • 7+ years experience in program management, product management, project management, customer success, or a related field
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in a related field AND 5+ years experience in program management, product management, project management, customer success, or a related field
    • OR equivalent experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications:

  • 9+ years experience in program management, product management, project management, customer success, or a related field OR Bachelor's Degree in a related field AND 7+ years experience in program management, product management, project management, customer success, or a related field OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year(s) experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.
  • 3+ years experience working at a technology organization.
  • Hands-on experience using and building with AI tools (agents, prompts, Copilot, automation) in your own work.
  • Experience building operating rhythms, intake systems, dashboards, playbooks, or enablement programs.
  • Strong written communication for leaders and cross-functional teams; can translate technical work into clear team actions.
