Auto Parts Group (APG) is proud to be working in partnership with ADAS Solutions under the Collision Repair umbrella, strengthening our combined capabilities in advanced vehicle technology and calibration services.

We are currently seeking a Remote Diagnostic Technician to join our AirPro Diagnostics Australia division, supporting workshops across all vehicle makes and models.

What's the role?

This role requires a meticulous and inquisitive technician with a strong automotive technical background and a high attention to detail. You will work with modern vehicle technologies, particularly advanced body and chassis electronic systems, including ADAS, ABS, Body Control, SRS, EPS. Other key responsibilities include:

  • Interpreting and executing repair procedures to successful outcomes

  • Performing precise remote diagnostic tasks with high accuracy

  • Documenting all work comprehensively and clearly

  • Maintaining company equipment and workspace to high standards

  • Contributing to team knowledge sharing and continuous improvement

  • Communicating confidently with stakeholders at all levels

  • Maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction

  • Working effectively both independently and within a team

Is this you?

In this role, the quality of workmanship and accuracy is paramount, due to the nature of the potentially lifesaving systems being repaired and calibrated correctly. A sound understanding of vehicle diagnostic platforms and software is essential along with strong diagnostic skills and high levels of competency in the use of multiple diagnostic platforms and software.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Fully qualified Automotive Technician

  • Minimum 5+ years’ hands-on automotive repair experience

  • At least 2+ years as a Diagnostic or Master Technician

  • Current, clean, full driver’s licence (manual and automatic)

Preferred Skills

  • OEM training and dealer-level experience highly regarded

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • High level of computer literacy

  • Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and technical data

  • Clear and accurate report writing skills

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical findings
