Sr. ServiceNow Developer - Athens, GA (Remote)

Contract Duration: 12 months

Job Summary:

Seeking for a highly skilled Senior ServiceNow Developer to support our current ServiceNow implementation and provide guidance for re-implementation efforts. This role requires a proactive individual who can quickly adapt to our development needs, enhance self-service capabilities, and optimize the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in core ServiceNow modules, a proven track record in full lifecycle platform implementations, and excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development & Backlog Execution: Develop, configure, test, and deploy solutions for backlog items using platform workflow and Flow Designer capabilities.
  • Service Portal & Catalog Management: Create and enhance complex Service Catalog items and improve user experience and self-service adoption.
  • Knowledge Management: Maintain the Knowledge Base structure for optimal categorization, governance, and usability.
  • Implementation & Integration: Perform full lifecycle implementation tasks, including configuration, system integration, testing, and solution design.
  • Reporting & Dashboards: Create and maintain ServiceNow reports and dashboards for actionable insights.
  • Documentation: Author clear technical and process documentation using the ServiceNow Knowledge Base module.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a ServiceNow Developer/Administrator.
  • Direct experience in implementing or being an active part of a core ServiceNow Implementation team.
  • Strong technical knowledge and implementation experience with ITSM and CSM.
  • Deep understanding of ServiceNow Best Practices, workflow, customization, Client Scripts, Business Rules, UI, Policies, and integration protocols (REST/SOAP).
  • Solid understanding of ITIL frameworks, change management, and continuous process improvement activities.

Preferred Qualifications (Plus):

  • Experience in Higher Education or Government entities.
  • ServiceNow-Related Certifications such as Certified System Administrator (CSA), Certified Application Developer (CAD), or Certified Implementation Specialist (CISM) in ITSM or CSM.
