WebSphere& Container services admin – Staff Aug – Technical Specialist 4
Searching for a candidate with expertise in administering WebSphere Application Server and cloud system administration (including Azure, AWS, and Google). The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in a multi-tier and multi-platform enterprise class environment with infrastructure build automation experience.

POSITION OVERVIEW
·Strong knowledge of Unix, Linux, Windowsoperating system and system administration tasks
·Highly available vertical / horizontal scaling,disaster recovery capabilities
·Single Sign On, network load balancer,firewall, IP subnets.
·On-Prem monitoring tools like Splunk,Dynatrace,
·Cloud monitoring capabilities like AzureMonitor, App Insights, Cloud watch
·CI/CD pipelines: Ansible, Jenkins, Nexis,Mavin, Bitbucket etc.)
·Version control subsystem like: Git,Subversion, etc.

·Knowledge of application development, implementation, and deployment experience.
Web services and data integration techniques,messaging and transformation.
·Lead experience to create design documentation and participate in code reviews with application teams.
·Strong troubleshooting experience to research production issues including cryptography(digital certificates), networking, MuleSoft, Databases.
·Develop and troubleshoot message translation issues integrating with backends (JSON toSOAP/SOAP to JSON)
·Experience with developing pass-through and transformative API extensions
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
·Experience performing system and software audits.
·Assesses and analyzes business requirements,current state environment and technology choices to evaluate security solution alternatives that meet solution architecture needs and support enterprisere quirements.
·Demonstrate advanced knowledge and skills related to Cloud, IAM and privileged access management.
·Excellent written and verbal communication skills, on both technical and non-technical topics
·Prioritize tasks effectively to ensure that project deliverables and deadlines are met.
·Advanced root cause analysis and written and verbal communications skills.
·Experience supporting and participating in 24 X7 on-call weekly rotation.
·Experience handling and reacting to infrastructure alerts reacting quickly.
·Communicating:
o Communicate with clients, assisting them with their needs to ensure client satisfaction. Communicate the deployment/release schedule, release artifacts, priorities, and status to all stakeholders.
·Coordinate releases with internal stakeholders.
·Champion best practices and quality standards.
·Participate in functional and technical meetings throughout the development lifecycle.
Abilities
WebSphere
·Perform upgrades, patches, and fix security issues.
·Monitor application performance, system performance, troubleshoot and diagnose issues and implement fixes.
·Work closely with the development teams to design solutions, deploy and maintain application.
·Install, configure and deploy new WebSphere application servers on AIX and Linux
·Write and deploy shell scripts, automate tasks.
·Experience with one or more webserver setup Apache, IBM Http Server and IIS
·Experience working with SSL and application security in WebSphere.
·Troubleshoot, collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues.
·Participate in defining corporate implementation and integration strategies of new technologies.
·Experiencead ministering integration platforms like Salesforce – MuleSoft.
Technical Advisor
·Experience collaborating and advising application dev teams to build API capability, covering aspects such as security and policy management.
·Ability to understand systems and application code to troubleshoot and provide guidance to app dev teams.
·Experience providing consultation service sworking with System administrator’s internal platform and middle ware groups to provide application software development services or technical support.
·Provides comprehensive senior-level technical consulting to IT management and senior technical staffs.
·Analyzes, defines, and documents requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks,controls, and outputs using standard development methodology.
·Works with internal business groups on implementation opportunities, challenges, and requirements of various applications.
·Guides and consults with IT management and technical staffs regarding use of emerging technologies and associated services.
·Participates in defining corporate implementation and integration strategies of new technologies.
·Advocates for innovative, creative technology solutions.
·Design and develop automated stress testing harnesses, recommend, and implement solutions, conduct and participate in code review sessions, and provide process improvements
Cloud Management
·Work knowledge of cloud platforms Azure, AWS or Google Cloud.
·Experience in hosting application services on cloud platforms
·Experience supporting and monitoring workload in AKS, EKS
·Deploy and manage application in a cloud environment.
·Work with cloud vendors and cloud hosting service providers and recommend infrastructure solutions.
·Experience deploying Containers, Microservices,Kubernetes, etc. both in on-prem and cloud.

- 5+ years in supporting EKS / AKS
- 5+ Years in WebSphere administration
- 2+ years in cloud products administration
- 5+ Years with application security product administration
- 5+ Years Experience administering Integration platform.
- 5+ Years experience working with government agencies.
- 5+ Years of providing comprehensive senior-level technical consulting to IT management and senior technical staffs.
- 3+ Years of providing guidance, consultation with IT management and technical staffs regarding the use of emerging technologies
