Design Strategist

Overview

The Design Strategist defines what gets built and when through a user-centered, data-driven approach. You align business goals, user needs, and technical feasibility, moving teams from ambiguity to focused execution. You facilitate strategy and discovery while producing lightweight research and concepts using our design system.

Key Responsibilities

• Build product roadmaps, BRDs, IA, sitemaps, and user flows.
• Prioritize via desirability, feasibility, viability; shape scope early with stakeholders.
• Lead strategy workshops and discovery sessions.
• Run quick research (surveys, interviews, validation) to inform direction.
• Create lo-fi concepts, workshop materials, and quick prototypes using the design system.
• Engage Designers and Researchers at the right depth and time; validate AI-generated designs and escalate as needed.
• Ensure early designer involvement to reduce rework.

• Strong at scoping, sequencing, and asking the right questions.
• Comfortable in ambiguity; converts fuzziness to structure.
• Hands-on with design systems and lightweight research.
• Knows when to delegate to specialists; not precious about craft.
