Job description

Summary:

In this role, you will serve as a dedicated facilities and construction consulting resource supporting non-acute clients in optimizing indirect spend and purchased services performance. You will engage with client stakeholders to identify opportunities for contract optimization, cost management, supplier alignment, and margin improvement across facilities, construction, and medical equipment categories. You will lead consulting engagements throughout the project lifecycle, collaborate with internal and external partners, analyze data to generate strategic insights, and support the integration of Vizient supplier solutions from planning and design through construction and project closeout.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and prioritize construction and facility maintenance categories and align opportunities with Vizient supplier contracts.

  • Lead client engagements from project initiation through completion, ensuring successful execution and delivery of measurable outcomes.

  • Manage request for proposal (RFP) processes and supplier evaluations for construction, facility maintenance, and medical equipment categories.

  • Coordinate activities among client supply chain teams, facilities leaders, construction stakeholders, and third-party contractors.

  • Benchmark vendor pricing against contract pricing to identify savings opportunities and support cost reduction initiatives.

  • Review client purchasing, contracting, and operational processes and collaborate with legal, risk management, compliance, and other support teams to facilitate contracting activities.

  • Review architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documentation to support supplier alignment and contract utilization tracking.

  • Cultivate supplier relationships, negotiate pricing and value-added solutions, and identify opportunities to enhance client value.

  • Design and execute project work plans, provide status updates, and track, validate, and report realized savings.

  • Partner with non-acute market leadership to support strategic initiatives, pipeline reviews, and facilities and construction performance improvement efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred.

  • 5 or more years of relevant experience required.

  • Experience in non-acute sales, account management, hospitality, capital medical equipment, facilities, construction, estimating, IT products, or related fields.

  • Ability to create impactful presentations and clearly communicate consulting recommendations and business outcomes.

  • Experience facilitating client discussions and guiding decision-making in complex environments.

  • Experience in consulting, analytics, healthcare supply chain procurement, and healthcare operational processes preferred.

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and related documentation.

  • Proficiency in AI technology, Excel, and Power BI required.

  • Strong organizational, project management, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a cross-functional environment.

  • Ability to travel regularly and expeditiously throughout the year to meet clients’ needs and timetables.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $88,900.00 to $155,500.00.
