Online Sales & Demand Planner

Location: Killarney Gardens, Cape Town, Western Cape
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time, Office-Based
Salary: R30,000 – R38,000 CTC per month, depending on experience

About the Role

Our client, a well-established imports and distribution business based in Killarney Gardens, is seeking a proactive and analytical Online Sales & Demand Planner to join their growing sales team.

This is a dynamic, hands-on role that combines online marketplace management, demand planning, stock replenishment, and customer engagement. The successful candidate will take ownership of the Amazon marketplace channel, provide support across other online sales platforms, and assist with key retail accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Amazon marketplace channel end-to-end, including product listings, stock management, replenishment, and performance monitoring
  • Provide support and backup across the Takealot marketplace channel as required
  • Assist with key toy specialist retail accounts and related sales activities
  • Drive replenishment planning and demand forecasting across a large product portfolio
  • Analyse sales trends, inventory levels, and customer demand to optimise stock availability
  • Manage and maintain forecasting models to support inventory planning decisions
  • Communicate with customers and marketplace contacts as required
  • Collaborate across sales, supply chain, and operations teams to ensure efficient stock flow and service delivery
  • Support the business wherever required, contributing to a collaborative and agile team culture

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday
  • Flexible working hours, with a preference for 09:00 – 17:00

Additional Information

  • This is a fully office-based role with no remote working option
  • Candidates should have their own reliable transport
  • The office is located in Killarney Gardens, Cape Town, and applicants should ideally reside within a reasonable commuting distance
  • The successful candidate should be available to start as soon as possible

  • Demonstrated experience making forecasting decisions and managing inventory demand
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, and working with large datasets
  • Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong analytical ability and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, organised, and capable of working independently

Advantageous Experience

  • Experience with online marketplaces such as Amazon or Takealot
  • Exposure to marketplace seller portals
  • Previous experience within an imports and distribution environment
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Commerce, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field
  • Experience working directly with retail customers and managing stakeholder relationships
