Job description

Now we’re looking for a Packaging Developer for tortilla and chips packaging to join our passionate team and help us shape the future of food and beverages. You will be based in Roeselare, Belgium and report to the Head of R&D, Packaging, and be part of a great team of colleagues based in Belgium, Sweden and Finland.

Your role in the blend

As a Packaging Developer, you will develop and test tortilla and chips packaging and lead development projects for new and existing packages. You will create packaging solutions in accordance with the approved portfolio roadmaps (branded & private label) and sustainable packaging targets of Paulig. 

 

In this role, you will:

  • Continuously improve existing packaging offer by reviewing solutions and packaging processes regarding functionality, quality and cost efficiency
  • Actively contribute to improvement projects at our production sites and support the resolution of packaging line issues
  • Test packaging performance and continuously improve the testing methods
  • Present concepts, packages and technology in internal projects and training
  • Secure correct packaging related data and manage required changes in ERP and PLM data system.

Your key ingredients

You strive for excellence in everything you do and have strong interest in learning new skills and developing yourself. You enjoy working with people with different backgrounds and are relationship oriented. You cooperate and communicate fluently in English; proficiency in Dutch is considered an advantage.  

To succeed in this role, you likely have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in food or packaging technology, or similar
  • Minimum two years of relevant experience in food or packaging industry
  • Goal oriented, flexible and initiative mindset
  • Ability to manage several projects at the same time and work independently
  • Good eye on details with packaging data management
