Your responsibilities will include building trust between franchisees and H&R Block/Franchise Consultants to affect positive and sustained change that will meet our clients need for trusted support and service. This role is also a resource to FCs, franchise ops, and other H&R Block teams and serves as the liaison for escalated issues from the franchisee.

Day to day, you’ll…

  • Lead and develop a team of Franchise Consultants to support franchise business growth and client experience

  • Partner on short and longterm business planning, including pricing, real estate, and market analysis

  • Coach teams to tailor support based on franchisee lifecycle (startup, growth, mature, or exit)

  • Ensure franchise compliance with agreement terms, policies, and industry regulations

  • Collaborate with internal partners (Franchise Operations, Product, Program leaders) to improve adoption and effectiveness of programs

  • Monitor market and industry trends and translate insights into actionable strategies

  • Act as a trusted advisor and escalation point for franchise owners

  • Hire, coach, and develop highperforming Franchise Consultants through consistent feedback and talent routines

Required Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in franchising, multi-unit retail, or a similar distributed field environment

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience through a combination of education and leadership roles

  • Experience supporting franchise and/or hybrid franchise–companyowned models with a strong understanding of franchisor–franchisee dynamics

  • Demonstrated ownership of regional P&L performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and profitability improvement

  • Strong financial and analytical skills, with experience using KPIs and performance data to identify risks, opportunities, and action plans

  • Ability to develop and execute short and longterm regional strategies aligned to enterprise priorities

  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop highperforming field leaders (e.g., district or regional teams), including indirect reporting relationships

  • Strong judgment and comfort making independent, highimpact decisions in a fastmoving environment

  • Demonstrated skill in influencing outcomes through partnership rather than authority, especially with franchise owners

  • Experience overseeing multiunit operations (retail, franchise, hospitality, or service environments strongly preferred)

  • Working knowledge of regional operations, performance management, and continuous improvement practices

  • Ability to balance operational excellence with growth, change leadership, and franchisee experience

  • Highly effective communicator—able to translate strategy, financial insights, and operational priorities for diverse audiences

  • Strong executive presence and relationshipbuilding skills with franchise owners, crossfunctional partners, and senior leaders

  • Comfortable with regional travel and flexibility based on business and franchise needs

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Problem Solving: Balance of strategic and tactical planning & execution with a focus on the client experience
  • Networking Abilities: Extensive networking of contacts with all stakeholders tapping into best practices helping to develop a one team culture
  • Franchise Experience: Demonstrated experience in franchise industry such as a Franchise District Manager, Consultant, Developer, etc.
