What you'll do:

The team maintains a center of excellence, translating market needs into products and services to enable market development and ensure they are constantly pushing the boundaries of satellite based services.

 

We are looking for members of a product team that can design, write, and deliver software services to our commercial aircraft and maritime vessels. Your focus will be on streamlining the packaging and automated CI/CD pipelines to manage builds across mainline and release branches, ensuring rapid and reliable software delivery 

 

As a member of this team, you will influence new designs, architectures, and methods for large-scale distributed systems. As part of our DevOps model, you will develop the service and own it from cradle to grave.

 

The day-to-day:
  • Build, maintain, and improve automated build, packaging, and CI/CD pipelines to support software releases across mainline and release branches.
  • Delivery of software services used by commercial aircraft and maritime vessels, contributing to reliable satellite-based connectivity solutions.
  • Contribute to the development and operation of distributed software services using established architectural patterns and DevOps practices.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities to ensure high-quality and dependable software delivery.
  • Help monitor and support services in production, learning operational best practices through hands-on experience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to understand requirements and translate them into well-defined technical tasks.
  • Continuously build technical skills and domain knowledge while contributing to a team that pushes innovation in satellite-based services.
  • Embracing the DevOps philosophy of product development, in addition to your design development activities you are also required to provide operational support of the post-production deployment.
What you'll need:
  • 5 years of experience with good knowledge of computer science fundamentals
  • Strong working knowledge of Python on a Linux platform.
  • Python, CI/CD & Build Automation (Jenkins, Github Actions), Linux skills
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes container orchestration.
  • Experience with AWS or Azure services.
  • Experience in developing RESTful services.
  • Experience with Database technologies in SQL or NoSQL, Query optimization, Fault tolerance
  • Familiarity with cloud computing concepts.
  • Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with a strong sense of ownership and drive.
  • Ability to work on distributed remote agile teams with a high degree of self-motivation and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. You will be required to communicate both verbally and in written form with remote international teams very frequently.
  • Broad range of technology interests across different disciplines including computer and system architecture, web applications, Scalability, performance analysis, distributed systems design, and integration.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or electrical engineering or equivalent technical background and experience.
  • Travel Requirement: Up to 10%
What will help you on the job:
  • Experience in KVM configuration
  • Working experience with networking products.
  • Working knowledge of Linux Kernel.
  • Experience in designing and implementing automated software component and integration tests.
  • Prior working experience in a DevOps team is a plus.
