Job Description

Motorola Solutions is seeking an energetic, experienced, and highly organized Event Specialist to join our North America regional events team. In this role, you will collaborate with the wider marketing organization to design and deliver high-impact events and experiences that support strategic sales objectives, enhance brand presence, and drive market exposure.

This position is responsible for end-to-end project management of diverse events and programs of varying scales. This includes advisory boards, trade shows, hosted conferences, as well as targeted networking and hospitality activations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hold full accountability for the event lifecycle from initial strategy, RFP development, and contract negotiation through onsite execution, post-show budget reconciliation, and KPI reporting; specifically focusing on Tier 3 and Tier 4 North American trade shows and regional roadshows.

  • Manage a high-volume event calendar, secure booth/stand space, order show services, and coordinate the inventory and deployment of branded promotional materials.

  • Develop, implement, and track comprehensive project plans, event budgets, critical timelines, and deliverables.

  • Negotiate terms and execute contracts with venues, production houses, and third-party agencies to ensure maximum ROI.

  • Lead planning sessions and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across vertical marketing, channel marketing, product groups, field sales, and external suppliers.

  • Plan and execute localized regional roadshows in close collaboration with Field Marketing and Regional Sales, managing everything from venue and catering sourcing to onsite AV logistics.

  • Confidently present event strategies, planning updates, and post-event performance analytics to leadership and C-level executives.

  • Travel onsite (estimated at 25%) to oversee event operations, proactively resolve complex logistical challenges with minimal guidance, and ensure strong sales alignment and customer satisfaction in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of 3+ years of proven corporate event management experience, demonstrating clear professional growth and a track record of handling multi-step processes with zero room for error.

  • Demonstrated experience managing event budgets and holding final accountability for vendor negotiations, contract reviews, and financial reconciliation.

  • Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with C-level executives and lead diverse internal and external groups through strategic planning and ideation sessions.

  • Excellent project management, written, and oral communication skills, with a high level of initiative, meticulous attention to detail, and a structured, process-oriented approach to problem-solving.

  • Hands-on experience with current event management and sales technology, specifically using Cvent, Salesforce, and Hubspot to track event ROI, design campaign parameters, and manage lead retrieval/capture operations.

  • Ability to travel, estimated at 25%, including weekends as needed, and meet the physical requirements (walking, lifting, long hours) required during onsite operations.
