Job description

Position : Construction Operations Coordinator

Salary : $1,500 - $1,800 AUD per month

Working Hours & Conditions : Australian Hours

OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a highly organised Construction Operations Coordinator to support the Director across day-to-day project and operational activities.

This role will focus on scheduling, contractor coordination, follow-ups, communications, and construction administration. Over time, the successful candidate will take ownership of a larger portion of business operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate project schedules, contractors, suppliers, and deliveries
  • Follow up subcontractors and third parties to ensure actions are completed on time
  • Manage schedule changes and communicate updates
  • Convert site updates and voice notes into emails, action items, and task lists
  • Assist with inbox management and day-to-day communications
  • Maintain project records and operational documentation
  • Help improve systems and operational processes

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience supporting Australian residential construction projects
  • Experience in construction administration, project coordination, operations, or executive support
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Excellent organisational and follow-up skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office and Excel skills
  • Comfortable dealing with builders, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Able to work independently and take ownership of outcomes

  • Project information is organised and up to date
  • Communication is fast, professional, and accurate
  • The Director spends more time on-site and less time on administration
