Job Description:   Salesforce Engineering Manager

We are seeking a Salesforce Engineering Manager to lead distributed engineering teams and drive delivery of complex projects across Salesforce CPQ, Billing, and Revenue Cloud. This role requires strong leadership, technical depth in Salesforce implementations, and the ability to align cross‑functional teams to deliver scalable, high‑quality solutions. Engineering Manager Responsibilities include researching and developing new products, building projects and overseeing the successful execution of projects throughout the year. Ultimately, you will work closely with different teams to ensure projects are completed according to schedule and budget.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, build, and manage globally distributed Salesforce engineering teams.

  • Plan and execute long‑term strategies for Salesforce CPQ, Billing, and Revenue Cloud implementations.

  • Understand and improve engineering KPIs, with a focus on Salesforce platform performance and scalability.

  • Lead and drive significant results across multiple teams, including:

    • Managing 3+ engineers with direct reports.

    • Overseeing 2+ Salesforce engineering teams focused on CPQ/Billing solutions.

    • Leading business‑critical cross‑functional initiatives involving Sales, Finance, and Product.

  • Conduct managerial interviews and mentor engineering managers in Salesforce hiring practices.

  • Generate and implement process improvements for Salesforce development, testing, and release management.

  • Hold regular 1:1s and skip‑level meetings to foster growth and alignment.

  • Provide management mentorship and career planning guidance.

  • Enable collaboration across Product, Quality, UX, and Finance teams to ensure Salesforce solutions meet business needs.

  • Drive psychological safety and inclusivity across Salesforce engineering teams.

  • Draft quarterly OKRs and Salesforce‑specific KPIs (e.g., CPQ quote accuracy, Billing automation efficiency).

  • Improve product quality, security, and performance within Salesforce implementations.

  • Identify training needs and talent development opportunities in Salesforce CPQ/Billing.

  • Lead R&D projects to explore new Salesforce features and integrations.

  • Collaborate with Sales and Finance stakeholders to design scalable quoting, billing, and revenue recognition processes.

  • Propose budgets and resource plans for Salesforce programs.

  • Create reports and dashboards to provide project updates.

  • Attend Salesforce workshops, conferences, and training sessions.

  • Train new employees on Salesforce onboarding and development practices.

  • Support personal growth of team members, aligning ambitions with organizational Salesforce goals.

  • Generate Salesforce roadmaps and provide long‑term vision for CPQ, Billing, and Revenue Cloud adoption.

Requirements and Skills

  • Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or Salesforce leader managing distributed teams.

  • Hands‑on expertise in Salesforce CPQ, Billing, and Revenue Cloud.

  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating Salesforce data and solving complex implementation challenges.

  • Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration with Sales, Finance, and Product teams.

  • Detail‑oriented with ability to identify critical Salesforce issues impacting revenue processes.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

  • Strong problem‑solving abilities in Salesforce architecture and integrations.

  • Ability to collaborate with geographically dispersed teams.

  • Interpersonal skills to navigate challenging Salesforce implementations and deliver customer‑ready solutions.

  • Experience hiring, coaching, and mentoring Salesforce engineers and managers.

  • Ability to make effective, timely decisions in fast‑paced Salesforce project environments.

  • Interpersonal skills to successfully navigate challenging situations and effectively deliver products to end customers

  • Ability to hire, coach, and mentor engineers and fellow managers on a continuous basis
