Job Description:

DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology centre in Central and Eastern Europe. Since its set-up in 2013, Bucharest Technology Centre (BEX) has constantly proven its capacity to deliver global technology products and services, playing a dynamic role in the Bank’s technology transformation.

We have a robust, hands-on engineering culture dedicated to continuous learning, knowledge-sharing, technical skill development and networking. We are an essential part of the Bank’s technology platform and develop applications for many important business areas.

Join our dynamic Name List Screening Technology team, a critical component of Deutsche Bank's Financial Crime Operations. We are responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining robust solutions that ensure compliance with global sanctions regulations and prevent financial crime. Our work directly contributes to safeguarding the bank's reputation and financial stability.

This team is at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and regulatory compliance, offering a challenging yet highly rewarding environment.

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Senior Product Owner and Business Analyst to lead the development and enhancement of our Name List Screening platform. You will play a pivotal role in defining the product vision, translating business needs into technical requirements, and ensuring the successful delivery and ongoing support of our Fircosoft-based solutions, leveraging the power of Google Cloud.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Name List Screening, aligning with business objectives, regulatory obligations, and Financial Crime Compliance strategy.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and technical teams.
  • Elicit, analyze, document, and prioritize complex business requirements, translating them into clear, concise, and actionable technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Write detailed technical requirements, ensuring they are unambiguous, testable, and fully address business needs. Work collaboratively with engineering teams to ensure correct interpretation and implementation of requirements, actively participating in technical discussions and design reviews.
  • Act as a guardian of the SDLC processes, ensuring adherence to Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban). Manage the product backlog, conduct sprint planning, daily

stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

  • Effectively communicate product vision, roadmap, and release plans to all stakeholders, including senior management, business users, and technical teams. Manage stakeholder expectations and proactively address concerns or issues. Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations to gather requirements, present solutions, and secure approvals.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior business analysts and product owners.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in Product Ownership and/or Business Analysis within a financial services environment, with a strong focus on regulatory compliance or financial crime technology.
  • Proven hands-on experience with Fircosoft products (e.g., FircoSoft Filter, FircoSoft Continuity) is essential.
  • As a plus, expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, particularly in data processing, analytics, and application development/deployment.
  • Experience in writing detailed technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Solid understanding and practical experience with the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and vice-versa.
  • Proven ability to influence without direct authority and drive consensus across diverse groups.
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, or similar agile project management tools.
  • Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and data security principles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
