Role: Senior Studio Manager

Location: Hybrid (México)

Language: Proficiency in English is required as we are a global business

About the role:

This is an opportunity to join a nearshore production hub in Mexico City as Studio Manager, Creative Operations — the capacity and scheduling backbone of a 39-person, AI-augmented creative production studio embedded with a leading healthcare education institution

Based in Mexico City, you'll work in close partnership with the Program Director in United States to ensure the right talent is on the right work at the right time — across a multi-location studio spanning the Chicago, Baltimore, Mexico, Colombia, and Toronto. OMG is purpose-built for in-house agencies, with task-to-talent routing that factors real-time utilization and SLAs. You will own that routing function.

The Studio Manager owns capacity planning, resource allocation, and utilization tracking across the full studio. You maintain a real-time view of team capacity, flag bottlenecks before they impact delivery, and partner with Integrated Project Managers to ensure workload is balanced, SLAs are protected, and the studio operates at healthy utilization levels.

What You'll Do

  • Own the studio's resource management function: maintain real-time visibility of team capacity, active workloads, and pipeline demand across all locations and disciplines
  • Partner with the Program Director to allocate creative, production, CRM, video, and delivery resources against active and incoming briefs — balancing quality, SLA compliance, and team wellbeing
  • Manage resource requests, freelance onboarding, and flex capacity deployment during peak demand periods; ensure all flexible resources are pre-trained on five healthcare education institutions brand requirements before assignment
  • Maintain and update the resource schedule within OMG (Our internal system), ensuring task-to-talent routing reflects current availability, skills, and project priorities
  • Track and report on studio utilization metrics — flagging under- and over-utilization trends and recommending corrective action
  • Partner with Integrated Project Managers to resolve scheduling conflicts, manage resource dependencies, and proactively address bottlenecks
  • Contribute to QBR preparation by compiling resource utilization data, capacity trend analysis, and forward-looking demand projections
  • Support the onboarding of new team members: manage access setup, tool provisioning, and schedule integration from day one
  • Maintain the studio's skills matrix, ensuring team capabilities are accurately documented and factored into resource allocation decisions

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in resource management, creative operations, or traffic management in a creative, production, or marketing agency environment
  • Proficiency with project management and resource planning tools (OMG, Workfront, Smartsheet, or equivalent)
  • Strong analytical skills: comfortable with utilization data, capacity modeling, and demand forecasting
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills — able to manage competing priorities across multiple teams and locations with clarity and calm
  • Experience working in distributed, multi-cultural teams across different time zones
  • Professional proficiency in English; Spanish proficiency is a strong advantage for the Mexico City hub role
  • A proactive, process-oriented mindset — you identify capacity risks early and resolve them before they become delivery problems

Gen AI & Agentic Thinking

  • Familiarity with AI-assisted workflow and resource management tools; willingness to develop proficiency with OMG's AI-assist capabilities
  • Systematic approach to capacity planning and problem-solving: structured, data-driven, and outcome-focused
