Description

The Director of Solutions Architecture will lead Cobalt’s pre-sales technical organization. This role blends strategic leadership, customer engagement, and hands-on understanding of Cobalt’s products to support our rapid growth objectives.

The ideal candidate is a strong technical leader and field-facing advisor who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution - developing high-performing teams, engaging with enterprise customers, and influencing product and sales strategy. 

What You’ll Do

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and coach the solutions architecture team
  • Work with sales leadership to establish and refine our customer facing demos and presales process with the goal of reducing sales timelines and increasing conversion rates and deal size
  • Drive a culture of accountability and collaboration

Customer & Partner Engagement

  • Represent Cobalt’s unique value prop to customers and prospects
  • Serve as a technical advisor to customers/prospects on how to best build a continuous offensive security program
  • Represent Cobalt at trade shows and industry events

Strategic & Technical Leadership

  • Represent the customer internally, providing input on the product roadmap, messaging, positioning and pricing
  • Partner cross functionally to shape new offerings and business models

You Must Have

  • Minimum 5 years of experience selling cybersecurity products and services
  • Minimum 3 years experience leading a team of solutions architects
  • Ability to translate technical solutions into customer outcomes
  • Excellent presentation, storytelling, and executive communication skills
  • Comfortable engaging at all levels — from technical deep dives to C-level discussions
  • Self starter comfortable working in a fast paced environment
  • East coast location preferred

Pay Range Disclosure (For US openings only)

Cobalt is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role is $157,800 - $197,250 per year base + variable + equity + benefits. A candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, and certifications.  The salary range may differ in other states and may be impacted by proximity to major metropolitan cities.
