Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, scale and enhance our internal and external microservices that encapsulate our platform functionality
  • Take a hands-on lead in platform design, development, architecture, execution and adoption
  • Collaborate with architects, developers for code reviews and troubleshooting
  • Hire, mentor and develop a world-class team of engineers, instilling and fostering a high-performance culture
  • Collaborate with team members and SRE team to improve system stability and observability
  • Engage with business leaders, product owners and other stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into executable solutions
  • Ensure our applications and processes are adapting to business changes or changes to technology
  • Stay abreast of latest/emerging technologies

Project Requirements:

  • Proven Java developer with a minimum of 8 years of experience and proficiency with Spring framework, Spring Boot and MicroServices
  • Experience in one other language, either Ruby/Rails or Python is a bonus
  • Must possess strong SQL and experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL)
  • Must possess experience working with AWS technologies
  • Experience with Kafka & Elasticsearch and working knowledge of JavaScript, Query, and Bootstrap is a bonus
  • A robust understanding of leading industry technologies is a plus
  • Ability to work in an agile team with an understanding of software development lifecycle (design, development, testing, CI/CD, etc.)
  • An ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
  • BS degree in Computer Science or a related field
