Senior Software Engineer (Java / AI-Enabled)

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer who is primarily backend-focused but comfortable contributing to the frontend when needed. You'll play a key role in shaping systems, building scalable applications, and leveraging AI tools to move faster and smarter.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Build and scale Java-based backend systems and microservices
• Contribute to frontend features (React or similar) when needed
• Design robust, scalable applications and system architectures
• Use AI tools (Claude, Codex, etc.) to accelerate development and problem-solving
• Write and refine effective AI prompts for engineering workflows
• Collaborate closely with Product and Design to deliver impactful features
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and agile processes
• Debug and resolve production issues and performance challenges

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 8+ years of software engineering experience (strong backend focus in Java)
• Experience with Spring, microservices, and REST APIs
• Comfortable working across the stack (React/TypeScript or similar)
• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools (Claude, Codex, etc.)
• Strong system design and problem-solving skills
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Docker, CI/CD, and AWS
• Able to thrive in a fast-moving environment and adapt quickly
