Sphere 3 Environmental is seeking an Air Quality Permitting and Reporting Specialist to join our Air Quality Team to provide regulatory compliance services for industries such as oil and gas, surface coating, and others.  We are looking for candidates that have an engineering or related degree and are eager to apply their knowledge to the world of air emission calculations, modeling, and regulatory reporting.  


What You'll Do
  • Evaluate and interpret regulatory requirements implemented by federal, state, or local environmental agencies
  • Determine applicability of air quality regulations
  • Prepare air permit applications required by federal, state, or local environmental regulatory agencies for energy/industrial facilities
  • Participate in agency consultations, project meetings, and client communications
  • Prepare a variety of mandatory federal and state emissions reporting
  • Prepare emission calculations for sustainability reporting
  • Prepare technical project documents, including, but not limited to technical summaries, emission estimates using approved state and federal calculation methodologies, applications, and client review packages
  • Utilize a variety of software programs for emissions calculations, modeling, and reporting

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
  • Strong working knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Excel
  • The successful candidate must complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

  • Excellent mathematics skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)
