Data Scientist
Contract (9 Months + Possible extension)
Remote (PST Hours)
Pay Rate: $70-75 an hour on W2 (DOE)
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Scientist to support the design, development, and optimization of data infrastructure and advanced analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong full-stack data engineering capabilities and experience building scalable, production-ready data systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and optimize data warehouse solutions.
- Develop and maintain ETL pipelines and automated data workflows.
- Create and support an analytics “as-a-service” environment.
- Manage full-stack data processes, including:
- Data collection and aggregation
- Data analysis and visualization
- Data enrichment
- Model development and productionization
- Build and maintain infrastructure for:
- Data labeling
- Feature engineering
- Model training and evaluation
- Deployment of online and offline machine learning models
- Drive automation initiatives to improve scalability, efficiency, and flexibility across the organization.
- Develop and operate tools and systems supporting data integration and analytics workflows.
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience working with Databricks, Data Lake/Delta Lake, Oracle, AWS Redshift, or similar relational databases.
- 1+ year of hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or equivalent cloud platforms, including data integration within ecosystems such as:
- AWS Glue
- Kafka
- Elasticsearch
- AWS Lambda
- Amazon S3
- Redshift
- RDS
- Kubernetes
- BigQuery
- 2+ years of experience developing Python-based data pipelines and integration solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong experience with source control systems such as Git.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
- Hands-on experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Self-driven and execution-focused, with the ability to manage multiple data integration demands in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership and deliver results with minimal supervision.
